The history of Rolex can be traced back to 1905 when Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis established Wilsdorf and Davis, a company that distributed timepieces. In 1908, they registered the trademark "Rolex" and began producing their own watches. Over the years, Rolex has become one of the world's most well-known luxury watch brands, renowned for its precision, durability, and timeless design.

In 1910, Rolex introduced its first waterproof wristwatch, the "Oyster," which was an immediate success and established the brand's reputation for producing high-quality, innovative timepieces. In 1926, Rolex made history by releasing the "Bubbleback," the world's first self-winding wristwatch, which was powered by the wearer's natural movements. This marked the beginning of Rolex's mastery of self-winding mechanisms.

During World War II, Rolex continued to innovate and develop new technologies, such as the shock-resistant "Parachrom" hairspring and the "Paraflex" shock absorber, which greatly improved the accuracy and durability of their watches. In 1945, Rolex introduced the "Datejust," the world's first wristwatch with an automatic date display, which quickly became one of their most popular models.

In the 1950s, Rolex expanded its product line to include sport watches, such as the "Submariner," designed for deep-sea diving, and the "GMT-Master," designed for air travel. These watches were not only functional but also stylish, and helped to cement Rolex's reputation as a leading producer of luxury sports watches.

In the following decades, Rolex continued to innovate and expand its product line, introducing new models, such as the "Day-Date," the "Sea-Dweller," and the "Explorer." In the late 1990s, Rolex also began offering watches made from precious metals, such as gold and platinum, and featuring diamonds and other precious stones.
